First Lambs of 2014

Exciting times here at Lily Warne as the first Grey Faced Dartmoor lambs have already been born.

But just as Spring arrives so does yet more rain….. and then more new lambs…. the older lambs are already having fun skipping around causing mayhem so it has been a busy time here at the farm. Can you believe that we are half way through the lambing season already!

I have to say that despite the rain and mud nothing in the world compares to a lambing barn late in the evening, all settled down and warm for the night new mums with their babies asleep tucked up close, a stillness to the air pure and utter serenity.
